PSEP Wins Award at CityMatCH

B'more for Healthy Babies' Preventing Substance Exposed Pregnancies (PSEP) coalition, led by Jennifer H. Kirschner (pictured), was awarded the Kathy Carson Outstanding Abstract Award in the Program & Policy category at the 2016 CityMatCH Leadership and MCH Epidemiology Conference.

The abstract, titled “Meeting the Family Planning Needs of Women in Substance Use Disorder Treatment”, was for an oral presentation about implementing PSEP’s Baltimore Reproductive Health Initiative (RHI) pilot project. RHI aimed to integrate family planning into SUD treatment via screening, client education, staff education and training, and service delivery.

Congratulations to Jennifer, PSEP coalition memebers, and our partners Behavioral Health System Baltimore, the Abell Foundation, the clients and staff at Gaudenzia, Recovery Network, & IBR/REACH Health Services, and RHI Education volunteers!
