Study: Deaths Due to Crib Bumpers Increase

A new study in the The Journal of Pediatrics, "Crib Bumpers Continue to Cause Infant Deaths: A Need for a New Preventive Approach", found a significant increase in infant sleep deaths due to crib bumpers in recent years.

Though crib bumpers are marketed as a safety product, they can cause babies to become trapped and suffocate. In fact, they are so dangerous, Maryland banned their sale in 2013. Remember, the safest way for your baby to sleep is alone, on their back, and in a crib, free of any toys, blankets, or bumpers.
