Pew Charitable Trusts Releases Report on Baltimore Home Visiting

The Pew Charitable Trusts recently released a report on Baltimore's transition to evidence-based home visiting programs. The report focuses on how the city effectively implemented high quality home visiting and built a unified system of services.

Faced with one of the nation's highest infant mortality rates in 2009, Baltimore City leaders visited the research base and agreed that home visiting should continue in the city—not as it had, as disparate programs with no central strategy, but rather as an aligned system implementing proven practices. This included developing  a central system to identify, engage, and enroll targeted mothers and provide a single point of entry into the home visiting system.
