e-Cigs: A Big Threat for the Littlest Kids

For many years, the dangers of smoking around children and babies have centered on second-hand smoke.  E-cigarettes, often mistakenly thought to be a safe alternative to traditional cigarettes, have created a new threat to children.

As e-cigarettes become more popular, there has been an increase in nicotine poisoning. Since a surge in the popularity of e-cigarettes, there has been a 219% increase in nicotine poisoning cases.

Most cases are among children under 5 years, who may be drawn to the bright packaging or to e-liquid flavors like chocolate and bubble gum. Read this article to learn more about the dangers of e-cigarettes and the importance of keeping them away from small children.
