BHB trains 78 clinicians and health educators on long-acting reversible contraceptives

On March 18, 30 clinicians and 48 health educators participated in a full-day training at Cylburn Arboretum to learn best practices for the provision of long-acting reversible contraceptives. The training is one of several activities planned by BHB's Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative to ensure equitable access to highly effective contraceptive services for Baltimore's women and teens.

The training was conducted by the University of California, San Francisco’s Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health. Clinicians received hands-on IUD and Nexplanon skills training, with support provided by Merck for the Nexplanon training segment. Clinicians received free CME/CEs for their participation.
