JCPenney Partners with No Kid Hungry to End Childhood Hunger

This November, JCPenney is asking customers to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar to benefit the work of No Kid Hungry, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The promotion runs until November 30th in all stores in the U.S. Customers can also round up their purchases online. 

The promotion is timely with the recent reduction in federal food stamp benefits. Even before the cuts many families on SNAP benefits were going hungry by the end of the month. Click here for an article in the Huffington Post

The nonprofit No Kid Hungry has a strong community presence in Baltimore City. B'more Fit for Healthy Babies has participated in the 'Shopping Matters' program to  provide grocery store tours that help families learn how to eat healthy on a limited budget.
