Baltimore City Health Department hosts baby shower for first-time Moms

More than 20 women who participate in the Nurse-Family Partnership home visiting program attended a baby shower Thursday, June 20, hosted by the Baltimore City Health Department. The first-time moms and mothers-to-be enjoyed lunch, heard from motivational speakers, and played games for prizes. Clients received gift bags with children’s books, cosmetic carrier, water thermometer and other useful items. There were many raffle drawings throughout the event with the grand prize of a stroller/car seat combination. Photography services were donated and each participant received a free individual photograph.  Nurse-Family Partnership provides home visits to women who are pregnant for the first time to provide health education and services.
